NYU in Paris’s academic center has a computer lab in which students can utilize word processing, printing, and access to the Internet. The lab has 15 desktop computers and is open Monday through Friday and on Saturdays during exams. Wireless service is also available on all floors and students with laptops receive internet and printer access throughout the Center and the garden provided that they have a wireless internet card. (If your computer needs a card, we recommend that you purchase it in the States.) Homestays may or may not have internet access. Individual apartments will not necessarily have pre-existing service, but NYU in Paris can advise you on how to set up internet service (ADSL or dial-up) in your housing.

Students who own laptop computers are encouraged to bring them to Paris.
To register your laptop for Internet access, please visit http://www.nyu.edu/global/laptop-form-paris.html. You can complete the online form before or after you go abroad. Once you have submitted the form, it will take approximately 72 hours for your information to be processed and your computer to be registered.

If you have a question about using your computer in Paris, you can speak with the student life personnel in Paris or send a detailed e-mail to: its.global@nyu.edu. An ITS Client Services helpdesk representative will respond to your inquiry within 48 hours. More computer related information is also provided at http://www.nyu.edu/its/global.html.

NYU Home is your best resource for keeping up to date with the latest news from the Washington Square campus. It also provides access to many web-based services and tools, including e-mail, spam filtering, Albert, Blackboard, computer security alerts, software, and NYU libraries and resources. More information is available at http://www.nyu.edu/its/homehelp.html.
