On the arrival day, students meet at the auberge de jeunesse where they will be staying for the orientation period. Since a group reservation corresponding to the exact dates of the orientation period is made far in advance, students arriving early are not guaranteed early accommodations in this residence. (Similarly, students enrolled in the Summer program may not arrive at the residence hall before the group reservation.)

Academic year students move into their permanent housing on the third or fourth day of orientation, after meeting with a staff member who explains the housing situation and its respective neighborhood, locality, nearby metros, etc.

Students who arrive in Paris early or who stay after the program has ended must find their own hotel or hostel accommodations. In some cases, students will be able to extend their lease or their stay with a host family or a rented apartment during the academic year. This, however, is beyond NYU’s control.
