The staff of NYU in France is familiar with a number of gym clubs in the area, but note that these facilities and equipment are not as updated nor as inexpensive as their American counterparts. However, student rates are often available.

Swimming is a very popular sport in France. Paris alone boasts about 30 municipal and private pools. Student rates are offered upon presentation of a student ID card.

Yoga studios are becoming quite commonplace in Paris. Drop in classes are available on a pay-per-class system or a card system (e.g. 10 classes for 100€).

Finally, jogging is another popular activity among students. Paris’s beautiful parks, like the Luxembourg Gardens, are wonderful places to run during daylight hours.
